My daughter Christy and I were gently strumming our guitars together and I quietly recorded it, then added some scenes from pilgrim journeys made with my lovely wife. Music that brings peace of heart and mind.

Where does music originate from? The fact is that music flows from the very nature of our Creator. He sings with joy over His chidren.

Creation itself was full of music as the angels and stars of heaven sang for joy when the foundations of the earth were established. Music and song filled the heavenlies long before expressed on earth.

The shepherds at the birth of Jesus got a little taste of this when the vast angel choir sang above and around these men in their paddock. And it was marvelous beyond description.

Music and singing became an integral part of us too, implanted at our creation. This ability to express a multitude of experience in a profound manner far beyond mere words. Melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo come together with lyrics to bring out what lies within.

From love song, lament, drama, anthem, protest, fun, cultural heritage, war song, peace song and most potent, worship, praise and prayer.

Such is the power of this gift that music itself without lyrics can touch and stir us at the deepest level. With some Old Testament prophets the revelations from the Spirit of God only came in the midst of music.

Scripture is full of the encouragement to sing and make music in all it's aspects here on earth in our pilgrimage. It is a heavenly gift that expresses and fulfills our humanity.

There will come a day when it finds it's ultimate expression in eternity, as countless peoples from every race gather around the throne of God joining in inexpressibly glorious music and song.
